Mopar clutch posi? Boom! Not impressed.

As Moper said - the Cone types are renowned for not holding up as well as the Clutch style under lateral forces of street/circuit driving.

The real question is would there be anything different about a Clutch style or Cone style that a straight line run would exploit?

Nothing AFAIK - similar pinion, gears and case?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

So the conclusion seems to be that LXguy's misfortune is down to the assembly or manufacturing standard of the hemishere - nothing to do with Clutch or Cone as far as i can see.......
