Need red A/C vacuum switch connector for '71 Dart

Can anyone confirm that the black 3 pin connector that plugs in to the headlight dimmer switch is the same thing as the red a/c switch connector?

I took the back of my broken a/c switch and plugged it in to the dimmer switch connector just for kicks. Didn't go on as easy as I thought it would. Could possibly be because the pins are toast but I'd rather be sure.

I see them on Ebay sold as generic parts for a few different applications, so that's why I am asking for a second opinion.
