74 dart v8 automatic

I was gonna suggest flowmasters myself. Always had good luck with them. As far as the rest of the build, just get the manual or a small block Chrysler engine manual and follow it step by step. Use quality bearings, rings, gaskets, etc. Have a machine shop clean up the block and hone it for you. Get the heads re-built. Clean everything spotless and keep it that way. Use the right tool for the right job. You can rent many of them from the auto parts, and if you buy stuff from them you could use the tool for free with a deposit. I have been known to re-use the cams, lifters, rockers, and push rods if they were in good shape. Not worn, bent, collapsed, etc. It will save you some cash. Have the crank checked. A standard rebuild should be easy since you don't have to try and match parts to work together. I have a '74 318 that smokes the tires. If I were to re-build it I think I would upgrade to a small 4-bbl. I just like the feel of them. JMO Good luck, and let us know how it goes. You can always ask questions here or do searches of old threads for tons of info.
