pitman arm won't come off

whacking the bolt on the puller definitely does the trick, just watch how much you crank on it before you whack it. i liek the idea of leaving the nut on but loose. if you have a real good load on the puller when you whack it, it will fly off like a rocket.

This worked really well when I did my rusty crusty off roared abused jeep. Make sure the pulled is forged more likely to survive. Use a 6pt socket on the bolt, 12 will round the he'll out of it and leave the nut threaded on a couple turns, keeps the pitman arm from turning into a distructive UFO when it comes off.
