What do you guys use for torque straps and what do factor mopar ones look like fo any of there motors

I am useing there torque strap, a solid arm in my E body Cuda for a long time now. No more ripped in half motor mounts! Now, I'd use there poly lock otor mounts.

You can make one from the $1.69 turnbuckles sold at Lowes or Home Depot. I used it and a couple of chain links. The chain attached to upper hook is held by the motor ground bolt & washer in the drivers side head and I drilled a hole in the K-frame for the lower hook to fit in. Or you can buy the nice Schumacher one for around $65.

If you have some serious HP, a 4spd car or the older pancake motor mounts you should run a torque strap on the left side of your motor.

I used a chain , a couple bolts and some big flat washers.....

schumacher is what I bought, works great with 485 ft lbs torque. no movement that I notice. Easy to install.

I run the schumacher strap, no vibrations, no broken motor mounts, and it keeps the headers from hitting anything. Easy to install too. Prior to that I would run a chain from the motor mount ear on the side of the block to the steering box k-frame bolt. Could not see it. I would put a slight amount of slack in the chain so no vibrations when cruising. It worked just not as nice as the schumacher set up.
