3/4 NPT is right for the Edelbrock intake. You have to use a 70-up water pump too so the bypass hose size is the same (1"). If your car's cooling system is a 69 or earlier you need to get the 1/2" fitting and use a bushing along with the smaller 3/4" hose. Here are both sizes in stainless
