Best tow rope location

I wouldn't use a tow rope at all....just a disaster waiting to happen. Rent a tow dolly, trailer, or have it towed by a professional. I was behind a vehicle being towed with a rope one time when someone didn't realize it was being towed and changed lanes right between the tow vehicle and the towed vehicle. All three of them were totalled when they got tangled and went off the road. Nobody was seriously hurt but two went to the hospital to be checked out and stitched up.
