7-1/4 to 8-3/4 swap

fyi... I also had the small axle in my 67 Dart. I could not find an 8 3/4 locally. To make a long story short, I found a guy in Springfield Ohio (he ships) that would build one for my Dart. Then after much discussion, the additional cost to have him build a Dana 60 was only $300. The axle he built came with backing plates, Yukon axles, any gear ratio I wanted, new bearings, track-lock, etc etc. It was complete and bolted right in. The total cost was less than $1,400. Just something to think about.

I know the Dana 60 is over kill, but I love the "old school" look that it gives my dart.

Good luck in your searches....
