Anyone else lose interest?

DM, I think you are looking at this all wrong. I'd bet my bottom dollar that there are many people out there doing the same thing to your car...looking at it and wishing their's was that nice. Instead of looking at other people's cars, take a step back and look at your own...think about what it was like when you got it...remember some of the trials and tribs you had getting it to where it is today... the nights in the garage with the radio on, finishing up an assembly or even just a small phase that you conquered, all milestones you may have passed along the way. So what if your car isn't as nice as some of the high $$$ cars you may see, it's still yours and you should be proud of what you've accomplished, and maybe try to look forward to the next item on the list, however small it may be!!!

It took me 12 years to get the 66 in my avatar to driveable condition. Many's the night spent just as I described above, the radio on, the kids in bed, the sound of grinding and scraping keeping the wife up!!! All time well spent and fortified the soul of this car. I could have easily lost interest at the bottom of the hill, instead I started climbing back up towards the top, one step at a time. Am I there yet??? Heck no, but I'm still headed for the top!!! You may never be done, but do you really want to be?? I don't!!! I want to be able to be in the garage when Ian is working on his project, whatever it may be!!!

Good luck to everyone here, I hope you all find your motivation, wherever it may lie, we are the future of this hobby, living in the past but always looking towards the future!!! Geof
