70 Swinger vinyl roof color change

Recently ask members opinions on a black or white vinyl roof on my Swinger. It had a black vinyl roof and I was leaning toward a white vinyl roof for a number of personal reasons but most of all it's my car and my choice. With advice from fellow member shafer I finally got around to changing from black to white. Here's a few pics of how it came out.

While I would prefer the black myself, I must say it looks pretty damn good :thumbup:


mind if I ask where you got the top, and what you think of the quality of it?
 
With purple, I like the white better lol.. see two comments, two views. I think it just makes the purple pop! Nice job.

Nice look! Really works with your car. Of course I am biased due to my car having the white vinyl top too.
 
What I did was to paint the black top with white oil-based paint, 2 coats. I mixed a quart of gloss and a quart of satin and you see the finished look. I've got a few little spots to paint with an artist brush and a few spots that have to have a little paint shaved off the chrome strips and I'll be good to go.
 
Looks good. Are you going to a white interior?

Looks great , very professional!

leave the interior alone - chrysler mix matched colors frequently. Ive seen black top white inside , green top black inside doesnt mater , add a white pinstripe on the upper belt line like the grreen on my 69 to help break up some purple.
