3.55 ?
This is why I say get on a bicycle and play with the gears. Doesn't matter how strong your legs are, which gear its in matters more.
I did go up 2 inches on rear tire size this year. Was noticeable--now its "only 3,800" at 70 mph. Taking off from a stop and banging the gears takes a bit longer. However 2nd gear seems more useful. With a 10 inch converter its 35 to 75 easily left in 2nd gear. Left in 2nd it r pulls 35 to 75 a bit quicker but then doesn't have as much kick once in 3rd
This is with 3.91 gears and 27 inch tires..with 3.55, 3rd gear be worst yet and with 3.23, yuk, I be thinking these new sport cars are fast, lol (but 70 mph be much sweeter and the mpg much better)
If it had 4.56 gears it be bad *** but then 100 would be almost 6,000 rpm..why some boys wound their 340's to 7,500 back in the good old days
