Cooling system 1970 340 Dart Clone

I had soooo many cooling issues; I tried everything conceivable to combat it. A buddy suggested trying the bypass block, and it didn’t hurt, so I ran it. All the bypass does is pushes water under the thermostat to aid in its opening. The only problem you would run into in this situation is air pockets under the stat, but I drilled two very small holes in the thermostat to help bleed off any trapped air. The pump is from a 65 fury 318, it is a cast pump from AutoZone. I ran it because it is shorter than your pump, and if you see how close my fans are to the water pump pulley, then that explains it. The shroud and radiator were purchased from a local shop here in Tulsa, but it is a do it yourself type shroud. I had to cut the locations out for the fans, and it worked out well. The fans hang off either side by about two inches, so I had to make an air dam type thingie jigger so they would only suck air through the rad. I called the speed shop I got the rad and shroud from; he said if you give him the dimensions of your rad, they can order you a shroud for a mech. Fan, or an electric setup like mine. They are produced by Northern Radiator, i looked online for a website, but couldnt find one. 918-836-9009, is the number for SHOW N GO, talk to Allen and he will fix you up.
