Roll cage install with a question

Ink
The SSC refers to the Not How Russians Assemble hand book and it states 36 square inches per plate. I will abide and the no grinding refers to the final pass. So in essence you are correct. The SSC also says you cant paint the roll cage, Yeah that will happen! I tried to maintain the alloy marks but they came off with just the handling of the tubes! It is what it is ,I have the receipt for the tubing.

I have not read the book in a while. Hell, I do not even know where it is. I just remember the plate thing because I had a conversation with my fab guy about it. The cage in my car has not been teched yet, but will be soon. The siderails were done to swing out in the Dart. When he welded it all up he ground the welds on the sidebar, up near the top of the door. I hope it is not going to be a problem. The couplers that someone else mentioned are pretty slick. Seen them used in an off road truck that went on its lid at 50+ mph and the joint help together. Are you going to run snout bars and a bar in or under the dash? The last picture you posted of the main hoop looks great. Before you put it in your ride you might want to make a jig for it, in case someone else wants one.
