Dr. Diff's 13" kit just arived, pretty neato. So far it looks like everything is provided.....seals/rotors/hubs/bearings/copper washers/pads/hoses/clips/bolts/grease caps/etc. etc. Should have it installed and driving within a few weeks. We'll see how it goes.

I bought the same one... let me know if you figure out how hook up the e brake cable cables to make the e brake work!

oops, I should have said these are for the front.

hey post a pic of yours so we can see it.

Does your rear calipers look like this?

Lemme go take some pics of mine......brb

lemme know if this pic does'nt work for u....i'll take the wheel off and take a different pic......(I think I have it hooked up right) E-brake cable runs through that tab with the hole in it,,,then up to the spring area where the end of the E-brake cable gets hooked by that metal bracket.

Ok, it all looks very nice.

A search for "Dr. Diff" brings up a website that looks like it was last updated April 2010. His e-bay links are active, but do not list the brake conversions.

So...

How much?

What caliper / rotor for the front?

5 on 4 ?

fit on 10" drum spindles?

Wheel pilot diameter?

Availability?

I have a 65 Cuda. 10 inch drums. I have been prowling these forums for weeks looking for brake options. So far this looks great.

I think it was $850 for front 13" kit
Hub is 5x4.5
13" Corvette rotors drilled/slotted for front
Mustang Cobra dual piston calipers for front (with pads)
Will fit disk brake spindle, dont recall which years
Hub portion that would go through center of wheel is approx. 2.79" diameter

Dr. Diff takes the stock hub/disk assembly and machines off the disk, and further machines down the hub (stock hub/disk assembly is one piece). Once machined, only the hub is left and it will accept a more modern rotor from a car where the hub and rotor are separate.

P.S.
I'll post a pic in a lil' bit of how it looks on the spindle/car.......going to start tearing off the stock disk gear.

Mounting bracket needed very small amount of grinding to fit. Spindle needed very small amount of grinding to fit. The grinding that I did could prolly be avoided by buying a couple of bolts with different heads, would cost about $2.00 from hardware store. Wheel seems to fit over caliper just fine, no interference so far. Provided brake line has good length, not too short not too long.

Everything is on, brakes are bled. Hopefully have drive/stop test in the morning. Ohhhhh......used Motive Products brake bleeder (borrowed from co-worker).....works fantastic. Guess i'll see how well that worked too in the morning.

Just completed drive test. Dr. Diff 13" brakes worked great! That Motive Products bleeder worked great too. Now I need to move on to changing the master cylinder and get teh lines away from the headers. Prolly need to switch out the distribution block too. Both that and MC are original to car.

i have his cobra kit on the rear of my duster and it works great. between those and the viper front the car stops amazingly fast. raced them last year witout a problem.

not to be nit-pickey,but your rotors are on backwards.

I've been using this kit for 5 years with a hydroboost and it works flawlessy especially with some Hawk track pads and Motul fluid. They are Cobra rotors not Corvette pieces. The corvette pieces have a different bolt circle and thickness and use a slightly different caliper. I've used the 14" kit too on a heavier car and it too is excellent.

Do both of these act like 1/4" spacers on each side? Like putting a rotor over the top of your existing hub?

I was wondering.... will the 13 inch kit fit inside 16 inch wheels or do I need to upgrade to 17s..? And if I have to upgrade to 17 inch wheels, would the 14 inch brakes fit in those..?

Are those riddler wheels and have you had any problems? I bought a set from a guy at BJ auction in WP Florida but not mounted yet.
