800 bucks back in 93 or so. Drove by it and saw it for sale outside a muffler shop. Saw the "S" and my eye started to twitch. Asked the guy calmly out the window if it ran, he said "yeah", I told him I would be back in 3 hours with the cash. Gave him the cash, he gave me the title and the keys and I told him I would be back tonight to pick it up. I drove it home on 5 cylinders and about 3 gallons of gas I brought from home. Put in 8 plugs, new oil and points and it ran like a champ. Explained to the wife that I knew "her" first and "you took me for better or for worse..." paint, interior and 6 motors later, I still got it, and the wife...!
