That is sharp!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks !

1972dusterpaul looks good just curious why are some of the rocker arms red?

muslca good looking engine

Thanks for all the replys Guys . I'm sticking with Blue maybe partly because I'm superstitious after what happened with My last Orange 360 and partly because this is a very mildly built engine and I don't really feel it needs to look like a high performance unit.Which is what I associate with orange.Lastly orange looks great with some of the high impact colors but in a black car it can look a bit "Halloweeny".Here's the lastet pic just got it set in place today.I have decided it will not look very stock though.(I change My mind constantly).I just dont care for the look of the stock valve covers. So I will be using My fabricated aluminum ones .Therefore I went ahead and painted the intake, water pump and timing chain cover aluminum.

Red Rockers...

The previous owner of my car had a professional shop build the engine so I am guessing but I would say it made it easier to grab parts and easier to assemble the valve train. All the red ones are all the same part.

There is really nothing special about them...but I could make something up.:joker:

Paul

Thanks !

yea I noticed after I posted that all the red ones were the right one in each pair.Or it could be a tribute engine built to honor sammy hagar !

Your engine bay looks great!! I painted my water pump aluminum too, but wish I'd have done it in orange instead. Oh well, next time.

Thanks! By the way I have to amend what I said before the halloween look is perfectly appropriate and actually encouraged when the car is a Demon,Polka dots if it's a scamp.LOL The krylon blue I used is not doin it for me.But oh well before I had a great looking engine that didn't run for s#!t . Now I got a so-so looking mill that runs perfect!
Tony fields - That's a great looking engine ! Here's a pic with the accessories installed,I'll probably lose the red ig. wires when I get a few extra $$ . But she's running great except for a leaky valve cover.

I typically paint all mine black (I like the way they look in blackk better than factory colors), I am going to paint my 360 red for the 65 dart sice the car is black. As said bdefore, it is your car, do what you like the best.

I like factory colors myself,Black would never work for Me.I'm in my mid 40's and while my vision is still very clear I have trouble with low lighting situations a black engine in a black engine bay would be invisible to Me,Like working in the dark.
