Looks awesome James! Good work. Quick question...I have seen people tape off where you did, on the cowl by the lip...why do people tape off there?? Is it so there isnt a paint "seam" on the top of the cowl?

In addition to the owner's response to your question......... if you use different paint types in some areas of the car (I am going to use single stage in the engine compartment) you will not get an exact color match. Masking along a natural break line like the cowl seam weld will make the subtle color difference essentially unnoticeable. Even if you are using the same paint type, it allows you the flexibility of completing your project in sections and still have it end up looking like it was all done at once because the seams are hidden.
