Due to an unfortunate lack of tightening of a slider caliper bracket bolt, I am now in need of a right-hand upper control arm. Generally, I've found that most of the UCAs for sale are pairs (left and right) so I might have to buy a pair to get a RH. However, I came across one eBay vendor (WSD4less) that sells new loaded (with new bushings and ball joints) UCAs. They have both individual UCAs (left or right) and pairs (left and right) for sale. The UCAs are made in Mexico and are fully assembled so I can't buy a bare UCA. However, $75.23 seems like a pretty good price for a brand new, loaded UCA.

Another alternative is to upgrade to tubular UCAs but, since I don't drive my car very hard, I'm not sure if I need the extra caster available from them. Having to modify the UCA bracket on frame for tubular UCA clearance isn't a selling point for me either. If I need more positive caster, using the Moog 7103 offset bushings instead is an option.

Has anyone had any experience with WSD4less' control arms? Is their new UCA as good as a used UCA?

I dont know...cheaper doesnt mean better....mkes me wonder what bushings and ball joint are in it....plus durability of the part...they do have good reviews on ebay....but... I just believe in good parts...I have had too many close calls with cheap parts

I thought I seen a pair for sale on here earlier today....

Since my polyurethane bushings still look good and my ball joint is brand new, I was going to replace the ones that came with the Mexican UCA. Since starting this topic, I've found a set of used UCAs instead so it doesn't look like I'll be trying the Mexican ones in the foreseeable future. However, I would still like to learn about other FABO members' experiences with them.

FJR, I bought the WSD control arms for my 66 Barracuda. I had already purchased the PST poly-graphite kit so just wanted the arms because mine were very rusted. They came with some very cheap bushings and balljoints. The arms were very light and cheap feeling. One of the bushings popped apart when i removed it. I installed the PST kit and got an alignment. The car never stayed in alignment and a few weeks ago the left side BJ popped out of the UCA while on the highway almost causing me to wreck.

So for anyone who reads this: do NOT buy the WSD control arms and install your own Ball Joints and bushings. The UCA's metal is weak and only meant to be a short-term solution for those whom use their installed crappy bushings and bj's.

I eventually forked out the $ and go the Firm Feel UCA's. the amount of money, headache, and time dealing with those WSD's outweighed their price 100x.

I don't see how buying new control arm B J and bushings is a short term solution . Either they are good , or they are crap not worth buying . Ball joints and control arms are not like patching a flat to get down the road .
So crap or good buy ?

By Short Term I meant: would install and work but probably fail shortly after like mine did. The Balljoints and bushing that come in those WSD's are super cheap and the balljoints are pressed in ruining the threads. They advertise them with MOOG numbers but they are not Moog Parts.

So yeah, they're crap.

That's good to know , someone else was asking about this kit , just on price I was suspect about it , you have verified it , pure crap .
Thanks , hope others see this thread before ""SAVING MONEY "" on these parts !

Unfortunately I bought these, too and they're still in my car. They were scraping on the rim from the first day, so the shop that installed them had to grind them down a bit to make them fit. Plus the dust boot on the upper ball joint tore pretty quickly. I regret to have put them in and will try to replace them soon.
