Whos running a 5.9L Magnum ?

Thanks man!

My original plan had been to use the stock Magnum heads, but they were cracked.

Iron rams are the base model 1.9 valves, untouched as delivered for $800 a pair (plus drilling for LA intakes, the LA bolt castings were out of stock) ...If I were to do it again, I would have had the heads prepped to take a taller/better/beehive spring, I'm kind of stuck with the 1110s and they really aren't enough for this cam and 6200 RPM through the traps.

Cam is 224/230 .536/.544 (high energy lobes).

Currently 4.11 gear and 26*8" tire. Best time was run with 3.91 and 27" Hoosier Quick Time Pro.

Converter is hard to say. Only footbrakes to about 2000, will go 3500-3800 on the transbrake.

This same combo went a best of 11.88 with a 670 Street Avenger Holley in good air, but a ton of 12.00 and 11.9xs in the heat.

When I was running the Street Avenger, I had $2800 in the motor air cleaner to pan, including headers, gaskets and 5 quarts of Royal Purple. Cheapest 11 second Mopar motor I've seen! ;)

By comparison, the quickfuel was an expensive .18 - LOL!

I don't have the sheets with me, but it made in the vicinity of 335hp at the tires on the dyno.

The car has caltracs and monoleafs and Calvert shocks also. Its a very very streetable combo (except for the gear).

There are some gotchas to the Magnum swap. I'm trying to put together a web page detailing all that stuff, but I pretty much suck at html and don't want to do something generic.

Huzzah! (I need to buy a copy of this pic)

I would really like to see what this combo would do in a more gutted/plastic bucket seat/no back seat/no wiper motor/no heater box type race car.
