The oem style mounting of the bar itself to the frame is better than mounting the bar to the axle because the OEM style has a lower unsprung weight. Lower unsprung weight makes it easier for the suspension to react to road/track conditions.

I agree.

ALSO you can put jack stands on your axle tubes or lower U-bolt perches. With the addco/hellwig the bar gets in the way of doing that.

BTW the T-bars out of that A38 A-body are like .96 IRRC. Did he have those too??
