Magnum 500s

It may just be the picture that they used, but I like the Wheel Vintiques better...

Maybe this will help a little. Only pics I have of factory ford magnums on a duster.

Thanks, what size are those wheels? Do you know?

Man I do not know. I vaguely remember them being 14 x 7 or 6.5. I am pretty sure they were 14. I am sure you would want to run 15 or bigger.

Also, here is an interesting repro but has deep backspace 5.9" and requires machining the center register out slightly to the proper diameter to fit front mopar hub (maybe rear hub register too). A bit of research required to make these work. Upside is 18 inch by 9 aluminum and the price. 144$ each.

Yea I would want to run at least 15x8 which is the size wheel I have on the back now, front i am thinking either 14x6 or 15x6, I have 14x6 on there now. Those wheels are interesting and give me more to think about. I can see why some research would be required to make those work, thanks for the link.

No problem! :) I would run same size rim front and rear. Bigger diameter rim = less sidewall = more control.

Those wheels are a lot cheaper than an all aluminum Magum 500 Classic Industries sells in either 15 x8 (http://www.classicindustries.com/mopar/parts/mw803.html) or 18 x 7 (http://www.classicindustries.com/mopar/parts/mw810.html)., I doubt if the wheels in the link you provided needed machining it would be be hundreds of dollars worth per side.

Yea, that makes sense. Just need to figure out what is a good size tire for 15 x 6 that will fit the front of a Duster.

BFG radial T/A 215-65X15 work good and look good on 15x6 rims.

The one thing I didn't like about Magmum 500 wheels is their application span.
I went to a cruise-in wearing those wheels and noticed many others wearing them too. Fords, Pontiacs, you name it. The most common wheel type seen.
The original ones have a reputation for loosening lug nuts resulting in wollered out holes too. Their mounting surface is not continuous. It's 5 seperate small triangle shaped surfaces.

......My 75 duster came factory with the magnum 500s........looks great.............i have never ever had a lugnut come loose on any magnum 500 that i've owned in 35 years of driving.........that includes A,B C, E and F bodies.........kim.............
