I believe it is. Because than they came out with the 2 & 3 etc.......
Somewhere they dropped the ballast resistor ect.

Personally I would put a real ignition in. I just built a ignition system with the help of Don at FBO, for my slant car, that will rev to 8000 (If it could) without a hickup.....I used a 73 elec dist, Dons ecu/ ballast res, and coil.
