Looks good, not too much or too little. It's a good feeling put a little time and effort and get a nice result.

thanks bro it actually took me longer to figure out how to post that pic than it did to do the work once again thanks i have a white 68 dart ht with red interior and a red stripe i am digging it as my car fund allowance is limited to 30 to 50 per week but i will keep on working with what i have good luck with your build

This is the way we used to do it when everyone didn't expect a high dollar rebuild. It is very satisfying to do it yourself, and not spend a ton of money. Great job!

Where did ya get the $5 trim rings?

hey rumble i scored all 4 at a thrift shop lucky me 5 bucks for all 4 and there is no theme i just have a red trim stripe and red interior and wheels were originaly white and i cant afford cragars like i want so i just shined up what i had

That is a great example of "Doing what you can with what you've got." No shame it that, we all have done it and will continue to do it in a lot of instances! Like Lincoln LSC "Turbine" junkyard rims (16x7, center register openned 1/16") painted magnesium grey with 225/60 tires- fits the Valiant and the old AHB Gran Fury (when/if I want to 'change up the look.')

nice-- let's see a shot of them on your ride!! Lawrence

It's a REALLY CLASSY look in my opinion...........

Creativity and class all the way. This is the way great builders are born and progress.........Great stuff. :wav:

It seems it's the neat low cost things like this that makes it fun.
Great job on these cool caps iggys68dart :hello2:

Lookin' really good! Show some pics of them with the car so we can see the whole thing.
As said, we've all done it when just starting out and funds are sparse. My first "custom wheels" were baby moons and chrome trims rings on the stock 14" rims on my '64 Olds Cutlass back in 1966. Got lots of compliments on the clean look.
Bought the baby moons and chrome rings at Newhouse Auto Parts in East LA.

Forgot to add this to my previous post.
Newhouse Auto Parts was a bigtime name in SoCal back in the early '60s. Anybody remember the Newhouse fuel roadster? Here's a pic from about 1964
