... on old cars, I respect your opinion, but you should move on to the next thread, 'cause my Swinger ain't your cup 'o tea.

After 10 years of patience, I finally mounted my 18" "dream rims" on my cruiser:

18x8" Coy's C5s with 4.5" BS, 225/45's in front and 245/50's in back. KH brakes, stock spring location, minor "massaging" of the rear fender lips. I'm very pleased with the results. I'd eventually like to drop the ride height an inch or so to compensate, though.

Just wanted to share!

Thats a good combo. I do agree on dropping it an inch would look sweet.

For the most part I do not like big rims. Most of it has to do with the style of the rims. Some I like though. You picked out a nice set and they give you car a nice look. Well done.

I agree. On thing that "saves" Abodyjoe's rims AND these in this thread, is that they are not some horrid gaudy "all chrome all the time." The black trim, and reduced chrome "print" helps immensely.

Regardless, you won't find 'em on mine.

bangin, i usually dont like the big rims, but i must say those are just rite on a dart i mite have to reconsider a set for 1 of my darts now, see what you caused more money to be spent!!!! LOL nice

Those look good. For some reason Darts look better with larger rims compared to Dusters and Demons. Must be one of them optical contusions. :-k :toothy7: :dontknow:

Same here, what Russell (Burntorange70) said.
I am one that don't like big wheels but abodyjoe and you hit it on the nail head, Good job.

same here, what everyone else said.

Those don't look 'big'- I think, like 67Dart273 said, it's the black... the style doesn't look out of place on an old car.

looks great!would love to see bigger photos like everyone else:) what do you think of the quality of the coy wheels?

Those look really nice. You have good taste.

Thanks for the kind words (and restraint), guys.

Well, I was disappointed (but not surprised) to finally get the rims and discover they were made in... wait for it... China. But what did I expect for $175 each? That said, they seem to be well-made.

Before the purchase, I spoke to a few folks who already had them, and no one I talked to seemed to have any quality issues or major complaints.

The only real downsides are that they are lug-centric, rather than hub-centric, and since they are drilled for (but not designed for) the 4" bolt pattern, the lug nuts are tight and a little challenging to get each one started. These two factors mean more finesse and patience during installation.

Here's a couple more pics. Pardon my lack of photography skills, and my inability to figure out how to upload them larger/higher res. FWIW, they look great in Photobucket...

Simply run your cursor over the image in photobucket. There should be a drop list of options. Click the bottom one which says image and it will change to say copied..

Then come here and paste the link in your post.

That's exactly what I did. For some reason, it's downsampled when it shows up on FABO.

Hmm,well that is odd! Thats how I do it and it gives nice big, clear full size pics. Maybe it's in the phtobucket settings,or there may be a setting you need to change here at Fabo? Like the wheels, btw! Do drag slicks come in those tire sizes?
