only the 331 had the cast to the block bellhousing.

The 241 is very hard to find parts for, but happy hunting.

THe 331 to 53 had the cast on bellhousing. 54 to 56 had the short block and a bolt on bellhousing like all the rest. I have a 1956 331 out in the shop.

The 241 has lots of parts available. You just have to know where to look.
