Hey guys, Ive got one for ya... My valiant's charging system keeps the battery's volts up nice and high but slowly losses its cold cranking amps over the period of say, a week, to the point where she wont turn over at all. Ive gone through 3 batteries. Any Ideas?:violent1:

Might be something remaining on. Put a tlamp between negitive battery cable and post to check. If the lamp comes on something is drawing on the battery. Most of the time its a dome lamp, under hood lamp, glove box lamp, trunk lamp, but
That draw can be insude the alternator too.

That's one good idea, but what do you mean "nice and high??" Just what IS the charging voltage? You could be boiling the batteries dry.

If you are getting some kind of drain from the battery try unhooking one item at a time.
Start with alt. and work to fuze panel to trace down leakage. Look closely at add on electrical parts also you can find it with some work.

Use RedFish and dusterny's method of finding what is drawing juice from the battery. Another source of battery drain is aftermarket sound systems. Some of those puppies draw lots of juice. Another overlooked circuit that can cause that drain is the wiper motor park circuit.
