Timing WAY off after installing different distributor.

Before I removed the plate I marked it and made sure it was installed in the same location on the new distributor, though I can't say for sure if the previous owner had done the same (noticed a spot where it may have been before). What does that tool look like?

I had the vacuum plugged when checking.

Replaced the wires when I got the car in May.

I thought about being a tooth off so I tried moving it one forward and one back and it ran awful.

I drove the car to work yesterday and it actually ran pretty well other than a little rough idle it didn't stall or die once. I'm starting to think the balancer may have spun since the last time I checked the timing.

My Da is going to drive it around for the weekend and take a look at it so I won't know until I get it back ;)
