360/380hp crate motor

Rumble: You make very good points, but pushing the hemi as the only remaining crate motor? Most laypersons can not AFFORD and put a hemi in everything they own especially the non big block A body crowd. If the small block era is to be eliminated, there will be serious issues.
It would make more sense to get a chevy where crate motor selection is vast in HP variety and more affordable. Putting a hemi in an A body is impressive, but is it a practical high dollar investment for the "bragging rights" and modifications needed to retrofi and hassle.

Almost any magazine boast the readily available and plentiful small blocks in junkyards or otherwise.

I found this article yesterday online on making a 300 Hp magnum into a 400hp + motor by upgrading the heads, valvetain, cam and intake.
