Evening, folks! This forum keeps popping up in my Google searches, so I thought I'd join. I just started my first project, a 1964 Dodge Dart. My husband is doing the mechanical and body work, and I'm doing the interior. This car is rough! I'm also way new at this stuff (hence all the Google searches).

I'm no purist, and I'm really just in this to have fun. I've always loved 1960s cars, and we got this one for cheap (along with 3 other Darts, including a convertible--a package deal). So far, I've enjoyed removing out hog rings and browsing fabric selections for the DIY seat covers I plan to make. And I've learned a lot from you folks already about headliners, windlace, molded carpeting--all kinds of stuff I could never have named two weeks ago.

So, thanks for existing! Some of you have already helped me a lot, and I have some threads bookmarked for later.

Hey Dart Lady, welcome to FABO. It's nice to have another lady who's interested in old cars, and better yet Mopars!!! I also did a web search, and pictures of that interior came up!!!LOL!!! How bout pics of the others in the package, and the convertible?? Welcome again!! Geof

Thanks for the warm welcome, all! I'll post some pics of the others in the package when I get home.

67Signet, mine is a 4-door. I'm looking at painting it the light blue with the white top. For the interior, I'm kind of confusing myself. Sometimes my mind thinks the interior is blue, sometimes it looks more green. I was operating under the assumption it was kind of turqoise, and I ordered some swatches in a turquoise theme, but then I began to think it was more aqua. This matters because my expectation right now is to keep the interior door panels and leave the interior door paint as-is, so my headliner, seats, and carpet should coordinate. But... I don't know.

Sorry I'm late, been busy lately.
Love your 64!!!

Here's a couple old pics. Been a few changes here in the line up, but my Baby (64) won't be going anywhere but here!! We need to get a new family pic in the driveway, LOL!

Glad to have you on board.
John.

Here is some paint codes for ya.

Also teal carpet available on ebay and a company called "Trim Parts" out of Middletown OH or some where close by there.

The headliner I found on ebay also from a company out of Cali.

I got all their contact info. If you need, PM me and I'll reply with their numbers....as soon as find them all! LOL!
