Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me where I can find a good set of 10" x 1.75" brake drums for a 1972 Plymouth Duster with an 8.75" rear end? I believe the Chrysler part number is "3580551" and I think these were used on all 1971-72 Darts, Dusters, and Valiants with V-8 or six-cylinder with "heavy-duty" brakes. So I'm thinking that they should be fairly common, but Napa Auto Parts doesn't seem to carry them anymore.

Thanks in advance for any tips,

Just a suggestion..
If you have a real problem, you could try asking your local brake/muffler repair shop. They may direct you or sell. A few years back I required new fronts and the shop got them in within a hour!

wagner part # bd60123 shows 68-72 rears same for these years and size of brakes and the shoes are pab331 and 331r(riveted)

Hi Redfastback,

I contacted rockauto.com and asked about the Wagner part number "BD60123". They said, "While we do sell the BD60123, the manufacturer doesn't list that drum for the rear of your vehicle" (my vehcile being a 72' Plymouth Duster with 8 3/4" rear end). Where did you get your parts from and what vehicle did you purchase it for?

Thanks,

I get the same kind of answer if I tell suppliers it's a '65 Barracuda. They say it should have 9" drums, but the Formula S models had 10". Tell them it's a '70 340 Duster or a '70 340 Dart or something like that.

catalog could be wrong.............ive seen where the same wagner catalog says that no discs are available for the 68 cudas or darts but is available to 67 cudas and darts and 69 and up abodies...........go figure.

another data entry person twistin' up 1 too many...................

Thanks Red,

I ended up posting a want add on Craigslist and got a couple hits for some used drums. I'm going to go take a look at them this weekend and see if they have any life left in them.

Cheers,
