Is it possible to drill a la intake to fit a magnum engine? i have several intakes and was wondering if it can be done. The 340 is sick and needs attention but I want to go to cruisin the coast and don't have time for the rebuild right now. However I have access to a 318 magnum for the taking will my stuff work on this motor?
Thanks for the help,
:burnout: Jody

Yup. I understand there is a "jig" floating around somewhere

Okay I picked up the 318 last night and will start with the engineering today after work.
I'll let ya'll know how it goes.
Thanks

from what I have heard the jig is not for the intake its for drilling the heads for the LA bolt pattern

Right. For some reason I had "heads" in my head when I wrote that, didn't realize the OP had asked about the intake

A friend drilled his intake for magnum heads. Not sure how but it works just fine.

just looking I think it can be done and not that big of a deal, cut some wedge spacers from aluminum pipe and slot the hell out of the intake.
Thanks for the input from you all.

That's what I read in a magazine once. "Waller" out the holes and then use a wedge spacer. Don't remember what magazine though, maybe one of the older Mopar ones?

I had an M-1 dual plane for a Magnum, so I didn't have to worry about it.
