Being I haven't done much in a number of years this may be out of date. Our PPG dealer in town had the ability to inject paint or color (not sure which) in to a spray can. I have painted engines with it and have not ever had issues. We have also sprayed it with a paint gun and have had no problems. Like any good paint job we used a quality primer first.
