The 7AL would be my choice, even have one for sale LOL, dont need it anymore. They will fire a cylinder full of oil, can cut the electrode off of the spark plugs (for clearance) and they will ground out on the pistons.
 
.......Thanks guys..............i have never played with MSD other then 20 or so years ago with a 4?.........just the module.............now i may need other things 4 the system.......i have an E coil and a Mopar Performance billet dist............kim.........
 
MSD Digital 7-7531 with the HVC coil is the one to have right now it seems.Looking at $700.00 plus to own one of these bad boys.
 
MSD 7AL3 would be my box of choice for 700 plus HP...never had any luck with those Mallory boxes ...
 
I ran 7al in my late model circle track car. loved it.
 
ill be running a digital 6 plus with my 408....but i think ur in the 7 box range...
