Will a 6.1 intake manifold fit on a 5.7? And if the will not does anyone make an aluminum intake for a 5.7

If you read through the New Hemi Swap forum you will find the answers to your questions.

But, to make it easy on you,

Yes the 6.1 intake will bolt onto a 5.7 set of heads. But, there is a port mismatch.

There are several aftermarket intakes for the 5.7. Mopar Performance, XV Motorsports, Edelbrock, Indy Cylinder head all make one. There is nothing wrong with the plastic stock car style intake for 5.7's either.

Hope this helps. But I still suggest reading through this forum for more info.

What Martin said.

Here's a quick rundown of your intake manifold options:

1. Yes, 6.1 Manifold will fit, for 2009 and later motors the intake is a direct bolt on as the 2009 and later 5.7 heads have larger ports. The 2008 and earlier heads can be port matched to the 6.1 Manifold.

2. XV Motorsports makes a manifold for this has bosses for fuel injectors, and is flanged for a Holley style carburetor.

3. Mopar Performance makes a manifold that likewise has bosses for fuel injection and is flanged for a Holley style carburetor. This is a single plane, relatively low rise that will fit under a stock hood.

4. Mopar Performance also makes a High-Rise single plane manifold that has bosses for fuel injection and is flanged for a Holley. This one would require a fairly tall hood scoop. It is commonly used on the super-stock Challengers.

4. Indy Cylinder Head sells a "Mod-Man" intake manifold that has bosses for fuel injection and supports either a single four barrel, three twos, or dual quads. Again either throttle bodies or carburetors your choice.

5. Edelbrock sells a dual quad intake manifold. This manifold has flanges for a Holly / Edelbrock (carter) carburetors. This manifold does NOT come with any bosses for fuel injection.

5. Hilborn Fuel Injection makes a EFI individual throttle body setup. There setup is available with or without an ECM

6. Borla Induction (formerly TWM Induction) also makes an individual throttle body setup. Sold without ECM.

7. Extrudabody also makes an individual throttle body kit. Again sold without ECM.

Wow great post. I'm making my own intake. It's going to be a closely guarded secret until I get it done. I just hope it works because it will cost me about 1500 to build the thing.
