I'd say you did okay depending on how the rest of the car is. I see the prices vary on those cars with restored 301 T/As asking 15k to 20k. I'm not a fan of those cars but, I'd say the trade was equal. With looking at the pictures of your Satellite with the faded paint and needing more than my car did I would say 6k tops for the Satellite unless you had stuff done to it.

I had our 68 Coronet 440 for sale recently and I am deciding to keep it for now. I know your pain in trying to sell. I had one guy offer $5500 for it. Now, it's a little better than your car and my car has a new interior, tires, wheels, exhaust, and suspension plus the engine was freshened up. Plus, I have started cloning into an RT.

Anyways, that Satellite would have made a fun driver. If it wasn't too rusty I would have spent a several hundred on the 318 to pep it up. Put a cheap exhaust on and some decent tires and some seals. Maybe do the suspension stuff from PST and call it a day.

The satellite had rust under the vynyl top, some more on the lower quarters, the trunk pan was bad.the majority of the rust was around the rear window where it went all the way through. Not to mention that the engine was seized up.So I believe that I did pretty good considering.

Actually boys I disclosed that information about the rust to the people that showed genuine interest in the Satellite.I did not with hold that info from anyone.Did you guys contact me about the car and did you make an offer? If you did then you probably would have spoken to me on the phone and I would have told you about the cars issues. If you didn't call and talk to me then your comments are redundant and meaningless.

Lmfao... Nice... Ugh, I can't stop laughing. Dude... Jeez. You keep trading every single car you get and from what I've seen you always get something better and the other people get the #$% end of the stick. Whatever.

It is a 318 car.Center console. It has a very minimal amount of rust.Only on the very top of rear window and the very lower part of the quarters.A patch panel will fix that. The rest of the car is in excellent condition.Very clean engine compartment.

You really should have been honest when you posted your Ad. Regardless if you were gonna talk to someone then tell on the phone or not Thats BS, Sounds like E-Bag sales tactics. Bad Karma. BTW I could run faster than that T/A and I'm not that young anymore. Good Luck!

Mopar for a T/A???????? Bad trade on your part...even if it was rusty. Those cars are only good too cut up and send to the circle track.

Some of you guys are totally ignorant.I posted that the car had rust around the window exactly how it is.That is what I was talking about when I said rust under the vinyl top.Rust in the trunk was only surface rust to the pan and the quarters were just needing patch panels. As for the engine?I am sure that it was not a major issue to get it unseized. It was just that the car sat for a long time and I really didn't mess with it much. The whole car was pretty solid.I would have kept it but unlike some of you guys who are acting like piranahs.I do not have the money to restore the Satellite as it deserves to be.In reality I know that I gave up alot by trading the Satellite but I would rather give it up to someone who will restore than to let it sit in my yard and get rusty.

My Dad "talked me into" selling my 1972 Dodge Charger SE to buy his 1981 Turbo Trans Am in 1984. Gave me a "great deal". Saddest day of my life...
I can still see the Charger driving away.

The turbo blew up a year later... POS

SORRY BUDDY......seems you have recovered

Thanks DUSTPAN... yea, 25yrs later lol.

Looks like you are sports central right now... Go Pack / Go Brew Crew.

God I wish I had seen this earlier, incomplete information (engine siezed), spoon feeding information, not answering questions, then wants to argue about it. I would have toasted it after the 16th post. Have fun with your "FIRECHICKEN" I'm sure you'll both get along fine.

Roy you specifically used this term. Quote: The rest of the car is in excellent condition. Isn't the engine part of the car, it was seized therefore the car was "not" in excellent condition.
