The ring and pinion will swap if you include the carrier. As for get up and go, it will depend on the difference between the two ratios. If you're pulling out a 2.76 and installing a 3.55, yes, you'll get a lot more acceleration.....but worse mileage and more engine wear. That's the trade-off you make. If you're pulling 2.76's and installing 2.94's, you probably won't notice a whole lot. If you're pulling 2.76's and installing 2.45's, it will more of a dog off the line, but your mileage may improve. Remember, you'll need to get a new speedo gear too so you'll know how fast you're really going!
