Turbo 383 in a A-body Barracuda

A good tip on the alternator I would use the one off of a newer dodge 135 AMP it will wire up the same way you can use the 70's regulater you just need to change the pulley to a V-belt trust me when all the electronics get hooked up you will need the extra amperage, the 95 AMP alternater is 4 5/8' diamenter and the 135 AMP is 5 5/8's .

Yeah I was going to get a mini alternator but fund are depleted at the moment. I was fortunate to spend what I had according to obtain everything else except a few small things like a thermostat and the hose for the MBC and a little wire. This stuff is cheap.
IIRC I once had a stock alternator modded to push 100 amps. I will call the local shop and confirm then I will just do that.. I will be using a yellow top deep cycle Optima. They are awesome batteries. I had two in the Falcon and charged them the night before I went to the track and never touched them through a full day of racing.

Good thing I'm on the downhill side. I WANNA DRIVE IT AGAIN!!!:burnout:I can paint it later....

I just was told to pull the 67 RS/SS Camaro from beside my shop(where it has set for 9 months) and start restoring it so my time on the Cuda will be slim for the next few weeks. Pulling the 350 and glide tomorrow for teardown and deliver the block and heads to the machine shop. Once that is done I will jump back on the Cuda. Gotta get it mobile again then I will start the reinforcement for the shock tower and close up the inner fender. Work-Work-Work! Thank God it has cooled off!!
