Got my new wheels put on yesterday and took a pic or two.
I put the pic in my photo program and removed the rocker panel chrome and I like it better without it, but whats the general oppinion?
Chrome or no?

Oh, I added the stripe with the program also, and think I'm doing that either way.

actully I like the rocker trim on or off they both look good the stripe would look better with out the dodge lettering in it

That year Dart looks good in those wheels. They need some center caps to set it off better. The chrome rocker strip I'm for either way - kind of like it left on actually.

In my opinion, and we all have them - generally speaking chrome wheels do not look right on pre 66 Mopars. Late 60s, early 70s cars look good in some types of chrome wheels (period correct), as long as it's not the ultra modern Chip Foose stuff with fancy cut outs. Big wheels are for cars with 5000W stereos that bounce up and down.....
 
Don't like the look of the rocker panel chrome. I would take it off. They are just rust catchers.

If you drive the car a lot without the chrome rocker trim you will probably have a bunch of chips and tar The car looks good with the trim and it serves a purpose,this is just my opinion and not that of the majority LOL:wack:

I dont think the pic does the chrome trim justice....but I will say go with the trim...but if I was to see it in person there may be "too much chrome"....if there is such a thing
 
I like it with or without the rocker trim but, If the trim really promotes rust as stated above, then I'd dump it. The wheels are just fine especially if you already bought & paid for them. If not, then There sure are better choices.
 
I like the stainless "spear" trim on my Dart. I plan on polishing it up nice along with the wheel well trim when it's time for paint.

Like someone said earlier, do what you think looks good and who cares what anybody else thinks.
 
Thanks for the feedback all.

The rustcatcher chrome is going away.(That was one of the original reasons for removal)
The wheels and tires are done deal.
The lettering on the stripe stays.
 
I was thinkin the same thing.....and add the center caps....body color gas cap and a good coat of cleaner wax
