I'm looking to trade my '72 340 intake for an edelbrock LD318 intake or one of the equivalent for a 318 on the street. I don't have a 340 and I really dont wanna resize my intake ports on my heads to use the intake so I would like to trade someone straight across for it, I ship mine to you, you ship yours to me or we meet up in person and trade them. Thanks for looking, please give me an honest opinion of my intake and if that is a fair deal. :glasses7:

Located in Buford, GA

Edit:It's actually a '72 intake. My mistake.

No such thing as an "LD318"...I think you mean "LD4B"?...thats the small port Eddy aluminum intake. There's a guy in another thread that has a "SP2P-318" for sale. Those are good street low RPM/mileage intakes for the small-port head engines.

Yeah, thank you for correcting my stupidity:violent1:. Even a P2P would be nice, but I'm unsure how it would do with a 650 Edelbrock.

It will do just fine. I had an SP2P in a '67 Dart w/273 some years back. Had a 625 Eddy AFB on it...ran super-nice. It was a relatively stock engine...only had 340 auto cam in it.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

I definately will!!! That sounds nice and fun. I really wanna get these headers off my shelf and use them :glasses7:. Thank you so much:prayer:...

...but that damn bug still gets me every time...

MIke, that's actually a 72 intake. 11/71= 1972 model year. See the bumps in the primary floor? They would not be there if it was a 71 model intake.

NP. It's still a damn good intake. They are actually somewhere above the standard Performer and below the LD340 in terms of flow. Really good for a factory piece. The 71 is a tad better.....but not by much.

is this number important in any way? am I selling someone's matching intake or something

Ya might be. A resto would require a certain numbered intake. IF the person restoring the car/engine wants it, a purchase of a intake you want to trade for what he wants isn't out of the question.

that'd be fine by me, but I really want a 318/360 4 bbl intake. any one that is streetable. I don't need a tunnel ram
