Not exactly a Mopar but related --> 65 Marlin, Red & white w/black gut, original 327/4bbl / auto in floor / PS / PDB . Car runs good and will drive but the brakes are soft. Has some rust the worst of which is in the cowl by the wiper motor. Real decent car but I just cant get into it. -- LOTS of extra parts from several other cars. Title was lost but I can give bill of sale. Asking $1500.00 or possible trades. Located in Central VA. If anyone is interested I can send pix.

This pic is a little old but I will be taking some new/better pix this week.

How's your cash flow?
I have a 65 Dart wagon. I'd consider a trade if you delivered yours and picked up mine.
just a thought...

WOW! I sure wish that you were closer. That is a BARGAIN price on that car if it is as clean as you say. It looks like you have property there. Just keep it covered up. Someone is sure to buy it at that amazing price.

my other favorite fish!
what is up with title? was it in your name or the name of someone you know? can you get a duplicate? or transferable registration? with no title or transferable registration there is no way to obtain legal ownership of the vehicle and I would never be able to drive it and the city would tow it and crush it

The trunk lid shows alot of surface rust from a poor repaint but there are a couple small holes showing. DMV here does abandon/lost titles online and the application wont accept the serial # as its to short?? Even if it went thru it would be time consuming.....DMV values old cars with classic car value guides which inflates the value and triggers an inspection to be done to verify actual condition and I'm just not going to hassle with it right now........It needs to go. I have a bunch of parts that go with it I may just part it all out and junk the rest??

you need to do the paperwork with the DMV if you want to sell it
without it you do not even legally own the car
you just have possession of it
on line it will not go through as you found out due to the non standard VIN number
you will need to go do that in person, just bring a tracing or the VIN # with you and some pics of the car, the classic value will not be much as that car is a 1 or 2 not a 4 or 5
then you could even get it running and drive it for a bit

paperwork is easy out here in California, just file for a lost title and they send a new one...

WOW! if it was only that easy ..... DMV will not accept pictures to determine the value of an automobile - It has to be inspected - Been there, Tried that. I probably should have done something a long time ago on this but I was hoping the guy would find the title (which wasnt in his name) I've had it about 7/8 years now so its been on the back burner since day one.....Time to move on!

Bad title--------------Run
Not worth the issues.
If the seller cant get a title what makes you think you can.

cars fall off the books after 10 years or so here in California. then you file a lost title and they send you a new one no questions asked. it's like $15.00. I'd love to have the car but it's too far away for me.

Have always loved the Marlins. A vehicle never leaves the books in virginia if that is where she was originally titled. Shame about title but S#%t happens & not having title put in name of guy you bought it from is double whammy, but damn a running marlin for $1500 is worth dancing with the devil. These folks are not for everyone but have helped out several of my street rod buddies get titles. http://www.broadwaytitle.com/
Good luck with selling your marlin.
