My wife and I took the Dart to Ceasars Indiana for a show Sunday,Very nice show to benefit wounded warriors.We had a great time and made our usual contrabution to the casino,Afterwards we were going to meet family Hubers for our yearly punkin fest.Anyway on the way there some idiot in a rice burner pulled out in front of us and I had to lock it down (actually slid )streight. To make a long story short,I had to ut the Dart into a field to kee from hitting this idiot.Then he just drives away.I could of killed him.By the way there was no damage that I can tell, just a little dirt and a little s#*# stains in my wifes drawers. What is it with these idiots? the asshole didnt even stop.....I robably would have killed him.............RANT OVER......................................Jeff

Wow glad to hear you and the wife are safe.
I've had the same thing happen and it changed my reasoning in a situation like that. But luckily not in my old car but in my 89 jeep that I USED to tow behind the motorhome(gas prices killed that in a hurry) I wasn't able to stop. slid sideways heading to the ditch and realized that thing was about 9 foot deep and either I'd roll it or just node dive in, NOPE not gonna kill myself for that creep. I straightened it back up and slammed into him full tilt bout 55 mph on the expressway. I smashed up his car pretty good about mid backseat, since I had a 1/2 thick reinforcement plate in the bumper from bracket to bracket so I could tow the thing with a tow bar. All the damage to the jeep was grill front panel and bumper got bent in on the sides. his car was a honda (something or other coundn't figure out from the back side) Luckily there was a ohio state trooper chasing after the idiot. and ticketed him and hauled him to jail for reckless driving ,speeding and a bunch of other stuff. Since then I've added that same style reinforcement plate to both front and rear of every metal bumpered vehicle I have. they hit me I want them hurtin and if I ever get in that position of having to hit someone I don't want to get hurt. I'm sorry if this ruffles somebody's emotions BUT when It comes down to ME or You (not you in specific but as in general public) in an accident I'm gonna choose me every time, just as I'm sure your gonna choose you instead of me in the same situation.
