A humble hello to all here.
I've been a guest to your site many, many times, and have finally decided to just become a member. I've got a "last of the breed" 1976 duster. My wife's had this car since high school and it used to have a slant six in it. I started work on it ten years ago with the goal of putting a 440 in it on the cheap. :banghead: Then I found out there's no such thing... The car has sat for awhile (college, kids, career change and all) until I recently have resurrected the project. The old motor plated 440 moves it around well, but the all junkyard parts need some updating and the car's just flat ugly. Therefore I'll be beginning to put some time and a little money in the old bugger as I can afford it. I spent some time as a parts guy (my first career), but will likely have lots of stupid questions if you all can tolerate me! Thank you all for being here! Many of you have answered lots of my would be questions already in other threads. Guys like all of you keep this hobby alive!:salut:

I can already tell from your gut-wrenching honesty that we're going to get along famously. :-D Welcome to FABO! Make yourself at home, post up some pics of that ugly old dog when you can (but let us pick the adjectives), and enjoy your new family.

Welcome to FABO from SoCal. You're going to have fun here!
Post up some pics when you get the chance.

Welcome to FABO- a wealth of info is available here- and the only dumb question is the one you don't ask that bites you in the *** later..lol

Welcome aboard. The worst part about late year Dusters are the ugly trim panels. Deleate them and get it back to a older look, just plain and simple bare bones and smokin!

Thanks for the warm welcome all,
Look forward to interacting with all of you.
Rumblefish, you're right on with the whole ugly trim thing. already started strippin' chrome and some of the trim and the rust-trap vinyl top. Like I said, its an ugly mutha-duster. someday she'll look sweet, and likely Chrome-free, but right now, I just wanna make it drivable for awhile and melt some tires off in an ugly sleeper :finga:
