65 Dart Wagon

Hi,

Sorry I did not see this sooner. I will see if I can make a copy of the template and send it to you. I still have not made the new cover yet myself.
But finances are looking better. I did have another bearing go put on me. To the point that I ate the front drivers hub. But FABO came through again! A generous member had spindles hub and drums from left from a disc brake conversion. Free for pick up! Installed the new drum/hub yesterday and drove it to work today. Smooth. Thanks again Kevin hope to see you at spring fling this year.

You're more than welcome. Glad I could help. Deb and I are already making plans to be there, with or without one of the Plymouths.

So I got my new to me hood last night, Woo Hoo! Got a great deal from a member here and he even helped put it on. Thanks Steve! Gotta love FABO! So when I showed up in the wagon the first thing his friend and he had to do was look over my ride. And like every member here they knew more than I did. They were surprised to find a factory sway bar on the wagon. I was like, is that what that thing is? Cool. Is this common for the wagons?
Anyway, now I have a faded yellow hood from a GT on there. One less thing to look for at Spring fling.

So, I have not updated this lately. Here goes.
After I got the hood but before I got the latch it blew up on me on the way home. The hood put dents and a hole in the cowl. That is fixed now with a new latch.
Then I got new wheels at Spring Fling. 14" Keystones. It took a while to get them on the car right. Then one went flat. Still need to get tire.
Then the rear brake cylinder went out. On my way to work. Got that fixed.
Then car got towed for parking tickets. Got it back after some time and a lot of money.
Then at union station, after I dropped the wife and kids off for a train, the clutch linkage broke. I got a rod adjustment kit from Classic Industries. (drove down to their new nice showroom) and then had to get the Z bar welded. Same guy who did my brakes welded it for free.
That about catches me up. I am working on getting the gas tank not to leak if I put more than 10 gallons in the tank. I am looking to recover or replace the back seat.

One last thing, for about a year now, every once in a while the throttle will stick. If I had an automatic this would have been a real problem. As it is I push in the clutch and rev it once and it is fine again. Is there an easy fix for this?

Thanks, and here are some bad pics of the wheels
Tim

You guys like those? I have to say I am not really a fan. I put them up on the for trade page asking for 15" black or red steelies, sbp. But the only post I got said I would not find those.

Nice car! Gotta love those A-wagons.. I have a '65 Valiant wagon myself, all around best car I ever had.

15" SBP wheels will be hard to come by as they were never made..
There are companies that make them now on special order but those sets are seldom seen in the used parts columns..

If you want stock looking but bigger wheels I would try to find a set of 14x5,5" wheels, they were mostly used on the hi-po A bodies like Barracuda, GTS, Duster 340 and so on. Not 15", but they do a good job of getting the wheels out of the wheelwells and make the car look "like it should have from the factory".
