Coming out

Wow. That couldn't have been easy. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have had the courage to do that. It makes no difference to me your sexual preference, religion, political views, skin color, etc... Hell, you could even drive a Chevy! What matters is who you really are inside. Judging by your post, I'd have to say there's a good, strong person inside. That probably comes from the teachings of parents like yours. It was difficult for them, but they see past the stereotypes and accept and learn. As we have seen with teen suicides, not all parents are that way. Kids shouldn't have to be alone, they aren't prepared for that trauma. Ignorance and bigotry have no place in this world. Good luck, and I for one am proud to know you. ( Even if we have never met! :-) )
