Such a wonderful pic of the new bushings you took. NOT. From the looks of it, those are the type bushings that reuse the old sleeves.

can hardly tell by your pics, but judging by the tiny glimpse of the bushing to the right in you second pic - those are the right bushings and just need to be pressed in. Looks to me that they include the outter metal sleeve. The bushing is pressed in as a single unit.

Have the old one pressed out, press the new ones in - that's it. They'll fit - at least judging by the label on the package and the very small glimpse of the bushing in the second pic.

btw - sometimes it's a pain to get the old ones out - you may have to drill, cut and air chisel the thing out. Lots of times the old ones need to come out in bits and pieces. As long as you don't mess up the control arm, you're fine.

Yeah I saw the one to the right, but that's not what he took the pic of. The one in the sack appears not to have a sleeve.

You use this tool to remove and install upper control arm bushings.
Or you can be creative with a hydraulic press, and use sockets to brace, and press out the bushings, a piece of pipe, anything that you can think of to get the job done.

apologies for pic, i took two one of bushes but stoopid pc not recognise, will re do, reason i dont think will fit is this, i cut the old rubber ones out of a arm, what im looking at on A arm is a tube which is part of A arm<or does this need pressing out too:violent1:>, now holding the new bush with metal sleeve cannot see even with vice /press it going in........the rubber on inside of new bush however does but this shouldnt be right cutting metal sleve and taking rubber out, apologies :prayer:if this sounds real spastic of me!

Yes, the old sleeve needs to be pressed out.

you have to cut/press/chisel the old sleeve out. the new one will then fit.

Best advice going. See if you can rent one from the local rent-all or Dodge dealer.

I made the same puller jomper posted, about $10 and it works great for pulling and installing.

You have to get the arm, not just the rubber/bolt insert on the inside that sleeve.

Farm Tools 101.
I think I got the idea from a thread here. It ain't pretty but it works finner than the hair on a frogs back (Carol Shelby). My new disk kit came with new upper control arms containing made in Mexico rubber OEM type upper bushings. I replaced them with this rig to PST poly's. If you can get the proper tool it's well worth it but, up here in Canada the Swiss Arm Knife and beer cans were not up to the task...LOL
