cooling vs fuel

I see many threads where guys try everyting to correct cooling or over heating issues. They check the radiator, thermostat, timing, water pump...etc. One thing I never see is the fuel system.
A lean engine runs hot, they build too much heat, they ping. A rich engine refuses to build heat, fouls plugs and wastes gas. So when everything else fails. Check the fuel system. As a matter of fact, its the place to start
Stumbled across this link, some good reading. Its Ford but its all the same http://www.fordfe.info/CarbMythFact.html
