If you want to use adhesive, what works for plastic plumbing works but, It creates a chemical bond nearly impossible to seperate again.
The epoxy could work but I wouldn't trust it unless I took the time to scuff every smooth surface creating a tooth. Otherwise the epoxy is just laying there waiting for gravity to do what it does.
