The problem is i'm not going to spend that kind of coin on a transmission, that's a 5spd and not proven and will cost nearly as much as to put in as a proven 6spd in the car.

I agree. How much is a slant 6 3 on the tree car ever going to be worth?? Besides, if you are doing this stuff with the hopes of recovering the funds you put into a car you need to have your head examined. Sure, there is going to be some exceptions to this, but for the most part......
