383 Big Block complete with starter, TTI Long Tube Headers, motor mounts for 6 cyl k-member, and 727 transmission.

I am selling because we want to put a built 318 to drop the weight for handling purposes.

Here is what I know about the engine and trans. I have not started it, but was supposed to be very low mile short block from a 69 with redone 906 heads. It has Purple 484 cam and holley intake. Trans was supposed to have been rebuilt with reverse manual valve body. TTI Long tube headers, starter are included. I have other parts that I will include as well. I know there is a water pump and varioius other parts in boxes I will include.

Looking for $1800 obo, I might consider small block parts as partial trade.

Some nice parts there, a pretty good price if everything is as advertised. Good luck with your sale. Your 318 is only a 100 lbs lighter then the 383 with both motors in stock trim. Having driven both built 318's and 383's as far as performance you'll never notice the extra weight, but a big block for street driving should have the bigger torsion bars installed. The 383 is a great running motor revs like a small block, 330 HP before you start modding them. It would be hard for me to give up the big block but I tend to prefer small blocks in darts and dusters.

My wife got to spend some time on a road course this summer and decided she wants to set the car up for both drag racing and road course. So now the car will be used on the street, road course, and drag strip. Originally she was just going to drag race and occasional street use. The weight difference will be huge on the road course in terms of car balance. Previous corner wieght of the car shows I need to loose quite a bit of weight on the front to improve the balance.

thats good a deal. 383 would be great for all that cruiser/sleeper or drag racing.the car would be worth more money with that 383 in it.compared to a 318. u can't get that much money for it if u ever sell the car with a 318 compared to a 383 in it.i would hate to give up a nice 383 for a 318.

Have small blocks, might consider some type of trading, 318,360,& 5.9 magnum.

I could be interested in the right trade. 318 340 or 360 with big valve heads, SB 727 Transmission (I have 4 but all for 4x4 trucks), and other interesting stuff.

Not looking to separate this set-up out right now because I think to the right person it is better all together. So right combo of cash and/or trade I would consider.

Lots of people asking about headers, but right now looking at letting it go as a package.

I have 727 transmissions also along with the smallblock's
