The stuff that was recommended/engineered for way back when was Dexron. ATF 4 is expensive but its fully synthetic, higher heat range, probably overkill for a 727 but itll work fine. Type F is no good.

TF's will run on almost anything, but they run better on Dexron. Type F hasnt been recommended since 1980, Ill digress: Type F isn't the best choice.
